HANNAH SUNSHINE-LEE

Occupational Therapist, Oxfordshire.

Experience

Hannah is a Registered Occupational Therapist, she trained at the University of East Anglia and qualified in 2010. With 8 years of experience she previously worked in various clinical settings within the NHS, Social Services, Charity and Private sectors. Since 2013 Hannah has been working as a Disability Assessor, working with and assessing a variety of chronic and acute conditions including acquired brain injury, spinal injuries, cerebral palsy, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal and multiple sclerosis. As well as other long term conditions such as mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Hannah is fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and she is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). Hannah is based in Oxfordshire and will cover most of the Home Counties and surrounding areas. Hannah has been working as a Disability Assessor and Manager for a private company, her role involved assessing clients with a variety of different complex conditions for PIP (Personal Independence Payment) Benefit. This role largely involved assessing client’s conditions and the impact of such on their ability to complete activities of daily living


SINEAD FALLON

Occupational Therapist, Derbyshire

Experience

Sinead has over 12 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist and 10 years’ experience working as a Case manager. Sinead obtained a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy in 2006 whilst working in a care environment. Sinead is an advanced member of BABICM, having been a committee member of the board from 2010 to 2012. Here, Sinead was an active participant in the Children and Young Persons Group, where she was involved in compiling the CYP tool kit, a resource for Case Managers working with children. With the BABICM, Sinead also helped to organise to training days to increase knowledge and share good practice as part of Case Manager’s continuing professional development. Sinead is also a member of the Health Professions Council registration and CMSUK, attending regular training days relating to Case Management.

Sinead works with children and adults who have experiences catastrophic injuries, with a case load of up to 14 clients at a time. During Sinead’s time as a Case Manager, she has been able to gain experience of working on both joint and single instruction, liaising with instructing parties efficiently. Sinead is based in Derbyshire and will cover the Midlands and Northern England.


TRUDI KNIGHT

Registered Nurse, Oxfordshire

Trudi has over 20 years’ experience as a qualified Registered General Nurse. She qualified in 1998. She attained a BSC (Hons) in Clinical Nurse Specialism (Orthopaedics and Trauma) in 2006 from the University of Central England, Birmingham. Trudi has previous Intensive Care Nursing experience and has broad experience working in a wide variety of clinical settings and case management. Trudi has been working as a Case Manager for several years, working both in the UK and abroad, (including India, Europe and Africa) with clients with a variety of conditions and traumatic injuries through personal injury and clinical negligence. Trudi’s main area of expertise is managing acquired brain injury, complex orthopaedic, and spinal injury cases which she has been doing for more than 15 years. In addition to training carers in all aspects of spinal injury care she has high level of experience in coordinating all aspects of spinal injury rehabilitation & therapies. Trudi has experience of working with various spinal injury centres around the UK including Stanmore, Salisbury, Sheffield, Oswestry and Rookwood in South Wales as well as other neurorehabilitation centres. Trudi has experience of liaising with various local health authorities including the Welsh Health Boards. Trudi’s current caseload include clients with Spinal Injuries, Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, and complex orthopaedic injuries including amputees in the UK and abroad. Trudi has experience of managing complex care packages for clients on long term ventilation and providing training for nurses and carers. Trudi has been involved in clients’ hospital discharge planning working with spinal injury centres and neuro-rehabilitation units throughout the UK and abroad. She gets involved in setting up domiciliary care packages, initiating and managing the client care assessment process. Trudi also gets involved in collaborating and negotiating with statutory services including local PCTs and Social Services to secure funding for her clients. Part of her role involves liaising with the multidisciplinary teams including the treating healthcare professionals, Community OTs, Social Workers & District Nurses to ensure that all of the client’s needs are met and clients are provided with suitable accommodation and any aids and equipment they require to maintain their safety and enhance their independence. Trudi has wide clinical and managerial experience in working with children, young adults and adults with complex disabilities, their families and care teams.

Trudi has experience of international case management and assisting with repatriation of clients with traumatic injuries back to their countries or to the UK from other countries. Since 2012 Trudi has been working with clients from India and has been involved in the repatriation and setting up rehabilitation and care packages for clients in India and various other countries in Europe & worldwide.

Trudi’s current role as a Senior Case Manager involves managing and supervising a team of Case Managers providing case management services throughout the UK & internationally.

Trudi has wide experience of working within the personal injury field, both on joint or single instruction and liaising with instructing parties effectively.

Trudi is a full member of the Case Management Society UK (CMSUK) and a member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM). Trudi is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a full member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). Trudi is based in Oxfordshire and will cover most of the UK.


LUCIE ROBERTSON

RGN, Lancashire.

Lucie has over 15 years’ experience as a Registered General Nurse. She qualified in 2004 when she obtained a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing from Oxford Brookes University. Lucie has since gained a broad range of experience working in various healthcare settings and case management. Lucie has been working as a Rehabilitation Case Manager for Complete Care Plus Services for over 5 years. Lucie is a member of BABICM and CMSUK and attends regular training days relating to case management. Lucie’s current caseload includes clients with Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Complex Orthopaedic injuries, Amputees and Spinal Injuries in both adults and children. Part of Lucie’s role involves liaising with the multidisciplinary teams including the treating healthcare professionals, Community OT’s, Social Workers, District Nurses and Education Authorities in order to ensure that the client’s needs are fully met and to the best possible standard. Lucie has experience in setting up domiciliary care packages and managing the client care assessment process. She is also involved in negotiating with statutory services including local CCGs & Social Services to secure funding for her clients and also Local Education Authorities and schools.

Lucie’s current role as Rehabilitation Case Manager involves providing case management services for adults and children throughout the UK. Through this role Lucie has gained experience of working within the personal injury field, both on joint or single instruction and liaising with instructing parties effectively. Lucie has a wide range of clinical and managerial experience and is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is a full member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). Lucie is based in the Northwest (Lancashire) and will cover most of the UK.

Lucie current’s role involves carrying out Immediate Needs Assessments and providing ongoing rehabilitation case management for adults and children with spinal injury, brain injury, complex orthopaedic injuries, amputees, cerebral palsy, psychological and mental health problems and challenging behaviour. Lucie is also involved in setting up and case managing long term care packages through agencies or by assisting clients to recruit and manage their care staff directly. Lucie is involved in organising and sourcing NHS continuing health funding for clients through liaising with local CCGs, Education, and Social Services to ensure that the client’s needs are met appropriately.

As part of her current role Lucie is also a Senior Case Manager for Complete Care Plus Services, she is involved in supervising and mentoring other case managers. Lucie is involved in the development of the case management policies and procedures within the company.
